The movie project seems to be coming along swimmingly. We have all “dropped” our various scripts into the dropbox and now have reached the early editing/recording stage. Like Adam mentioned, we have begun to split the next step. While Adam and Stephanie will be working on the script and voice recording (I’m not a big fan of hearing my voice on recordings), Gaby and I will be working on getting some great shots of the Dowling statue this weekend. I will be pretty busy Saturday, so hopefully Gaby is willing to head out during the afternoon Friday or Sunday.
On Saturday, I will be headed out to Huntsville State Park to help a friend with an LPAP requirement. I plan to take a camera with me to record some nice images of “water/nature” to use as stock footage in our piece while we are talking about Sabine Pass. While this will not be completely accurate, looking at the street views and images of Sabine Pass today, there appear be a bit more industry than there was in the Civil War era. However, the State Park should not have any such distractions as telephone poles/power plants. Hopefully, I can get a few good shots to provide an animated/colorful addition to our work.
Tonight I will also be working on looking back over the script that Adam and Stephanie are putting together. I found a few things I wanted to change in my section, so I want to make sure to get them in before it gets recorded. Our next step after recording will be to start building our storyboard, and hopefully the video/images Gaby and I round up this weekend will move that process along quickly so we can start the actual compilation of our work!
I’m very excited for how this is all working out, it’s going to be a great project.
